NSF General Fund

The NSF general fund are dollars that the NSF owns. We use these for internal business operation, such as getting the annual audit and paying for director and officer insurance, crime insurance and other required expenses. Our grant program is also generated from the invested income of this fund. Since our move to North Western Mutual, the foundation does not charge for managing client funds. Income from this fund is provided from investments and generous donations.

Your donations are tax-deductible

Estate planning is important. Consider the National Speleological Foundation in your will, trust or beneficiary designation. You can also include the NSF as a beneficiary of a retirement account, life insurance policy, bank or saving account or a part of a donor advised fund. It can be flexible as "I leave 20% of my estate the NSF" or a fixed amount as $20,000.
