Being an NSS member for more than 50 years, it is an honor to be trusted with protecting and investing the society's financial assets. It is also a privilege to be an integral member of the National Speleological Foundation and to serve with my fellow trustees.

One of the most important things the foundation has accomplished in recent years is creating the NSS Permanent Fund. Your contributions to this fund will insure that your money will continue to support the NSS literally forever. The foundation invests the monies in the fund and pays the NSS 4% of the funds' value every year. Forever!! - John Scheltens
