A retired lawyer and Army combat engineer, Dave continues to pursue his undergraduate careers in philosophy and exploration. He first ventured underground as his contemporaries received their drivers' licenses and could thus see the Civil War cave on the other side of the mountain, realizing immediately that he wanted to survey caves and understand how they formed.
